Benchmark International is looking for an experienced and driven proofreader and front desk admin to add to our growing team. You will be a part of Austin’s busy office. The role will lead the front of house for our Austin team and proofread business documents. This role is responsible for all front of office requirements such as the general appeal of the area, greeting clients, answering and directing in-bound calls, reviewing documents for grammatical errors, and providing general office support. This role is office based and the current office hours are 8:00am ct to 5:00pm ct.
Job Responsibilities
Your experience throughout the years will be a great resource for the Benchmark team.
Your specific duties will include:
- Professionally answer and direct calls to appropriate person
- Greet and direct clients to appropriate board room
- Keep reception area and board rooms clean, neat, and presentable
- Provide general office support performing a variety of clerical activities such as photocopying, faxing, mailing, etc.
- Proofread business documents to point out formatting issues, grammar, and punctuation issues
- Conduct reviews of Transaction Support work products, including confidential information memorandums, business intelligence reports, and other collateral developed by transaction support teams
- Provide internal subject matter expertise in the areas of business acumen and business writing
- Order, receive and stock office supplies
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
- Promote continuous improvement
- Comply with all policies, practices and procedures and report all unsafe activities to supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
For this role, you must be highly energetic and passionate individual with a positive and highly motivated ‘can do’ attitude. It is also vital for your role that you present well in person and on the phone.
The role is a client-facing role that requires the highest level of professionalism.
Specific qualifications include:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially professional business report writing, proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Understanding of diverse businesses and operations, in a variety of industries is a plus
- Ability to calculate simple mathematical concepts.
- Ability to effectively review others’ work products that include written dialogue
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Strong data entry skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively present information to management
- Excellent customer service and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- No personal history of enforcement actions by the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, or any state securities regulatory bodies
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree
Compensation:
The position of Proofreader and Front Desk Admin will lead you to excellent career prospects and you will be provided with full training and support. We value and appreciate your hard work and professional dedication and will reward you with a competitive compensation package including benefits and compensation the range of $40,000-45,000/year.
