Description of Role:

HHMC & FRC is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to actively manage mental and behavioral health needs including those with complex medical and behavioral health care needs. Bilingual candidates preferred.

Essential Functions:

• Provide psychiatric consultation, diagnostic and treatment services to patients, including medication management and crisis intervention service.
• Perform initial psychiatric evaluations for patients and work collaboratively with other providers for patient care.
• Responsible for monitoring medications and initiating appropriate therapies, as well as documenting all relevant patient care issues.
• Provide counseling and instruction to patients regarding health-related issues
• Document clinical care of the patient according to established guidelines
• Communicate with patients and family members within state law confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines concerning health-related questions.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement process and other initiatives in the area of employee practice.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 5+ Years of Previous Experience (Required)
• Valid California Licensure (Required)
• Valid DEA Certificate (Required)
• COVID-19 Vaccination (Required)
• Valid BLS/ACLS Certification (Required)
• Valid Government Issued ID (Required)
• Updated immunizations for Hep B & Tdap (Required)
• BC/BE (Preferred)
• Overall knowledge of medical office patient care
• Knowledge of confidentiality issues involved with release of medical information
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills including ability to interact with staff and providers at other medical facilities
