POSITION SUMMARY:
As part of Arizona State University’s charter to provide access and excellence, ASU Preparatory Academy (ASU Prep) shares this commitment by demonstrating all students can achieve at the highest levels, regardless of their background. To scale our current impact, ASU Prep is advancing a major expansion program taking fundamental responsibility for the communities we serve.
The Psychologist Assistant will support the school psychologist with clerical tasks such as scheduling meetings with required members, proof reading evaluations and managing calendars. The Psychologist Assistant will work collaboratively with the school psychologist and the special education team. The Psychologist Assistant can work a combination of in person and remote.
GRANT FUNDED POSITION
This is a grant funded position. Continuation is contingent on future grant funding.
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).

One (1) year of experience with Special Education Disabilities

Experience with Microsoft Office programs including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, or able to obtain upon employment

Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive and place necessary phone calls, including voice mail, and take accurate messages.

Meet and greet parents arriving for Special Education meetings

Maintain the psychologist’s calendar and assist them in managing required deadlines and due dates.

Maintain a filing system that manages all necessary paperwork including student files.

Assisting in processing and routing student paperwork, including record requests.

Score testing protocols, as directed by the psychologist.

Prepare necessary correspondence for the psychologist.

Monitor and maintain needed testing materials.

Maintain and protect the confidentiality of students.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and web-based applications is essential

Immersion and remote - South Phoenix, Pilgrim Rest, Casa Grande
TRAVEL:
Occasional travel may be required for site visits, meetings, trainings and/or conferences.
