GENERAL FUNCTION AND JOB DUTIES
Work Schedule: Flexible
Hours per week: 20 hours per week
The Natural Sciences Division at Central Piedmont Community College is committed to providing quality and dynamic learning experiences for students. We are seeking a part time faculty member with expertise in Biology (specifically General Biology and Microbiology) capable of teaching labs and lectures, both virtually and in person. Candidates must be willing to teach at any of our area campuses during the day and/or evenings as assigned. Additionally, incorporation of innovation and adaptive learning tools into the instructional methodology will be required.

a. Teach a course load appropriate to their field or discipline.
b. Participate in meeting and events required by the college, division, and program
c. Respond in a timely fashion to information requests from college, division, and program
d. Support both part-time and full-time colleagues.
e. Contribute to program and division curriculum development processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in Biology or related field
or
Master’s degree plus 18 graduate semester hours in Biology or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience in a community college or university setting

Salary for this position is Paid by the course. Pay grade for this position is Part-time. Contract type is Faculty/Librarian. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours, evening and weekend assignments may be required of any position. All positions are subject to budget approval.
