SIGN-ON INCENTIVE PROGRAM: $1,000 sign-on bonus upon hireUnder general supervision, the purpose of the job is to perform routine maintenance and operational activities associated with streets, drainage systems and water and wastewater systems.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. It is not necessarily descriptive of any one position in the class. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such duties are a logical assignment to the position. Performs manual and semi-skilled laboring tasks related to construction, repair, and maintenance; cuts out streets and driveways; manually excavates, backfills and compacts excavated areas to facilitate repair; installs erosion control material (riprap, sandbags).Locates utilities on the job; digs out utilities by hand for machine.Performs simple measurements; interprets gauge and meter readings; performs routine safety inspections.Transports materials, tools and equipment to and from job sites; setups and removes warning signs and traffic control devices.Assists with cleaning and upkeep of vehicles and maintains checklist; cleans work area.Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers and others in the course of daily work.Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.Must report to work for duty outside normally scheduled work hours in response to natural disasters, emergencies or critical incidents as determined by City Administration.
