This position is responsible for buying merchandise and/or commodities for resale to consumers at the wholesale or retail level, including both durable and nondurable goods. Analyze past buying trends, sales records, price, and quality of merchandise to determine value and yield. Select, order, and authorize purchase orders for merchandise according to analysis and/or contractual agreements. Maintain supplier relationships. Conduct meetings with sales personnel and introduce new products.

Essential Functions
· Daily purchasing review/ordering of items needed on assigned lines
· Analysis of assigned lines for a complete review of reorder points done once every 90 days or sooner as needed.
· New product line reviews done 1, 2, 3, and 6 months than every 90 days once a stock/sale pattern is set.
· Present new product line reviews during monthly purchasing meetings
· Quarterly meetings with key manufacturers
· Review of case packs as received from manufactures or as sales grow.
· Daily reviews of PO confirmation reports ensuring POs are free of issues and ETAs are properly recorded in our ERP.
· Promptly address PO discrepancies with manufacturers and appropriate internal partners. May include inline product changes/updates, discontinued products/replacement options, pricing/MOQs, Etc...
· Daily review of MMR reports
· Daily call out/ emails to manufactures for customer service requests.
· Daily call out/ emails to manufactures for sales department request.
· Rebalancing inventory reviews done as needed and in accordance with manufacturer allowance.
· Coordinate direct ship orders with manufacturers.
· Provide weekly reports as requested by stakeholders as needed.
· Negotiating purchase order discounts.
· System notations of back order updates.
· Back order product line review
· Daily interaction with A/P on issues they may have with Po’s.
· Work with data department on upcoming price change files as well as new products.

· Confer with personnel to coordinate business operations.
· Analyze ERP data and trends
· Analyze market conditions and consumer trends.
· Determine the value of goods or services.
· Develop business or market strategies.
· Evaluate logistics methods to reduce environmental impact.
· Identify strategic business investment opportunities.
· Obtain information about goods or services.
· Train personnel to enhance job skills.
At least six years of purchasing experience and/or three plus years of purchasing experience with a wholesale organization.
Bachelors degree in related business field acceptable without above experience levels
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
