Job Responsibilities

Controlling and Reducing Costs

• Provide accurate quantity takeoffs for new plans
• Choose vendors using a balanced approach, including quality, cost, and service
• Procure contracts and material costs at the lowest possible cost while maintaining quality and service standards

Variance Reporting

• Meet the goal of <.5% variances for all houses in all subdivisions
• Create and Analyze Variance Report on a Monthly basis; work with peers to give Explanations of variances that are over/under $300 (due monthly)
• Be diligent in working with Accounting to fix any variance issues after reviewing the Variance Report

Custom Options

• Review & Track Custom Option Request
• Assist Estimating team with Custom Options requests if needed
• Responsible for the accuracy of all Custom Option estimates for Sales

Hard Costs

• Complete all Hard Cost updates, bids and reports by deadline

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or GED
• Preferred: College diploma
• Required: Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance; you must own or have access to a vehicle for your daily work
• Preferred: At least one year relevant experience (purchasing, procurement, negotiating, supply chain, or data analysis experience)
