Quality Assurance Analyst
We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst who will deliver quality business and technical features through innovative solutions. This opportunity will provide you exposure to business and technical partners throughout the firm while also exposing you to emerging technologies. This position can be based in our Boston, MA office or our Woodbridge, NJ office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering incremental high-quality software
- Develop and execute test cases where manual testing is required and look for opportunities to automate and streamline testing
- Plan test schedules & strategies in accordance with project scope & delivery dates
- Document test cases, results and defects utilizing MicroFocus (formerly HP) Quality Center/ALM
- Create and manage test data, including data for use by automated scripts where applicable
- Based on project requirements and technical design, develop & execute software test cases
- Document and communicate project quality over the course of testing, including readiness for release using our standard test process and status reporting template
- Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality
- Support User Acceptance Test (UAT) phase - largely through test information sharing and test data creation for UAT team members using our automated processes
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years testing and/or Property & Casualty Insurance experience
- Experience with Quality Center/ALM for requirements, test case and defect management
- Data testing experience including writing SQL and working with XML files
- Excellent skills as a communicator and facilitator, both written and oral
- Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish a common goal
- Self-starter with strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills
- A ‘process improvement’ mind-set
