NOV Wellbore Technologies is actively hiring for a Quality Assurance Manager to support our Cedar Park Texas facility.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing
• Develop training for the staff of the quality department
• Effectively utilize the authority to acquire corrective action through management
• Monitor, review and approve quality audits
• Acquire working relationships with technical staffs of operators, contractors, agents and leasing personnel
• Maintain industry contacts with major oil company research personnel and professional organizations to share product and process information
• Must follow all safety and environmental policies and programs; must be able to use personal safety devices as required by company policy; report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity; report any injuries when they occur.
• Attend industry seminars and trade shows, as available and as specified
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Facility Specific Responsibilities:

• Build and develop the team required to achieve operational excellence in product and process quality.
• Support site operations to ensure compliance with API-Q1 and ISO9001.
• Coordinate customer, agency and regulatory quality engagements such as audits, assessments, surveys, and site visits.
• Act as primary liaison with customers on quality related issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Be an active and engaged member of the Manufacturing senior leadership team.
• Proactively build relationships with key customers and suppliers through Quality engagements and informal performance assessment.
• Reinforce the use of Quality methods, aspects, and tools across the organization. Provide guidance to process owners on resources available.
• Monitor site-level quality performance and collaboratively implement corrective measures.
• Research and establish best practices leading to enhanced quality and higher team member engagement.
• Support Engineering design reviews and new product releases ensuring product and process quality aspects are considered.
• Support Procurement/Supply Chain to qualify suppliers and sub-contractors and provide technical assistance to supplier when required to improve the overall quality and/or reduce costs.
• Maintain close contact with global QA team activities, providing advice and direction as requested on procedures, process/product inspection requirements and equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years of experience in leadership and management roles with 6 years of experience in machining and electro-mechanical manufacturing
• ASQ quality training certifications preferred
• Strong knowledge of Quality Standards such as ISO9001, API Q1, and ABS
• Expertise in Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies, 6σ Black Belt preferred
• Experience with ATEX/IECEx certification a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $117,000.00 per year
