This position is 100% remote; limited, to no travel is expected.
Overview
The Quality Assurance Tester will demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and written communication skills to satisfy the main duties of the position. The Quality Assurance tester is a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who can work closely and collaborate with product, developers, managers and other stakeholders, while also being able to work independently as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Have ability to analyze business and technology business case and develop and document test scenarios independently
- Collaborate and develop effective strategies and test plans
- Displays initiative to resolve issues and find solutions.
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results to ensure that programs satisfy all specifications and requirements
- Report bugs and errors to development teams which outline the type of defect and steps taken to resolve the issues.
- Help troubleshoot issues
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Maintaining documentation including test scenarios, test execution, detailed test log and process flows.
- Test and review new/changed areas in the system as submitted by development personnel, ensuring that they meet the requirements specified in the enhancement specification for the change. Communicate with team members to determine possible affected functionality.
- Test and review new/changed areas of the system to ensure that existing functionality is preserved (Regression testing)
- Manage business regression test cases
- Test Automation (UI as well as API’s) in BDD (Behavior Driven Development)
Experience & Education
- Experience 6+ years in UI and backend testing
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
- Willing to learn new technologies/ third party systems and new ways of doing things
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- SQL Server or any relational Database
- UI testing
- Rest APIs
- Experience with Azure DevOps / Git preferred
- Experience working in an Agile environment preferred
- Experience in project management and QA methodology
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
- Integration Testing preferred
Salary: Up to $110,000 / year
