R.J. Corman is currently seeking a Railcar Repair Team Member in Little Rock, AR with the ability to perform mechanical repairs including cutting, welding, and overall mechanical aptitude. All work will be outside exposed to weather and elements. Railcar inspections and repairs will be documented for verification and to ensure the work is being done correctly and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Welding, cutting, and mechanical type repairs
• Forklift operator
• Understanding of documenting work performed and recording material usage
• Ensure that paperwork for railcar repairs is complete and correct
• Ensure that repair jobs are completed in a timely manner
• Ensure that vehicles and shops kept clean and safe
• Ensure that the employees are working in a safe manner
• Assist with inspection and repairs as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge and Education: Railcar mechanical experience preferred, must have a background in welding and cutting. Must have good communication and people skills with demonstrated ability to develop team work and work with all levels of personnel in achieving our goals.

Physical Requirements: Be able to lift 50 pounds in the performance of duties, and ability to use computer, telephone and mobile radio.

Environmental Conditions: May perform duties in outside, job-site environment, in and around moving locomotive, railcars, vehicles and equipment as well as inside office environment, frequent exposure to weather elements and appropriate PPE required for job site visits.
