This position works independently, as well as collaboratively, as part of the portfolio management team. Monitors portfolio performance for the commercial construction portfolio to ensure accurate and timely execution for the investment thesis. Experience in construction asset management, construction, or development is preferred. The Construction Asset Manager will work with team members, joint venture partners, and third-party construction managers. The construction portfolio consists of multifamily, healthcare, senior housing, office, retail, self-storage, and industrial properties. This job operates out of either the Southlake, TX or Austin, TX office.

Essential Functions:

• Monitor and manage a portfolio of construction projects from initial closing through receipt of occupancy certificate, including review of construction advances, budget maintenance, attend on-site owners' meetings, review monthly ownership packages, and lease up analysis
• Work with the investment team to analyze new development opportunities. This includes independently verifying the investment thesis with construction budgets, projected timeline viability, rent, sales comp, and supply & demand analysis
• Support the investments team in preparing quarterly updates for the construction portfolio
• Monitor business plans in multiple sectors to ensure timely execution of the defined exit strategy
• Analyze and come to a consensus with operating partners for major decisions

Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management, Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years experience in Construction Management, Real Estate, Investment, Finance, or Accounting and direct exposure to construction or development projects
• Ability to work well in a team environment with a willingness to assist other team members
• Proactive with a sense of urgency
• Ability to think creatively and solve problems
• Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work based on established deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be clear, concise, and confident with the ability to manage internal and external relationships
• Computer proficiency with advanced-level Excel skills; experience with and advanced knowledge of other Microsoft Suite applications, including PowerPoint and Word
• Ability to work both autonomously and in a team setting
• Must have the ability to self-direct work and exercise independent judgment to formulate and implement solutions
