Receiving Clerk Job at Arning Companies
Description of Position: Responsible for the accurate receiving, staging, and storage of purchased parts and material. Ensures bills of lading (BOL) are accurate and material condition is acceptable and/ or documented on the BOL. Maintains integrity in both the ERP system and the physical inventory through timely and accurate transactional/ physical processing.
Qualifications / Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive in, store, and deliver materials in a timely manner.
- Inspect materials upon receipt, label/ barcode materials accurately.
- Compare purchase orders with packing lists for accuracy.
- Communicate receiving issues with the purchasing department.
- Conducts inventory and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, powered industrial vehicles, hoists, and digital scales.
- Demonstrate basic computer skills, keyboarding skills, and data entry.
- Ability to learn the ERP system, and other systems as required.
- Ability to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Record keeping / must be well organized.
- Customer service minded, team and detail oriented, and driven to continually improve.
- Adheres to all safety and quality policies and practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Powered industrial vehicle experience preferred (forklift, powered pallet jack, etc.…)
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Microsoft Office/ Excel
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting.
- Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Continuous use of arms and hands.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work indoor and outdoor in various weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
