JOB DESCRIPTION:
Warehouse receiving provides oversight to design and develop the database's logical and physical data model for normalized and non-normalized data structures.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Process repairs.
- Organize and focus on improved productivity levels in a manner that stresses effectiveness by improving processes and the efficiencies of department team members.
- Maximize quality and productivity by understanding the expectations of the company and assisting the Warehouse Manager in evaluating performance variances in order to identify root causes and corrective action.
- Receive Warehouse Orders.
- Warehouse Associates (Receiving) will need to be able to move up to 70 pounds and fast-paced work in a fast-paced environment.
- Assists with inventory control by performing regular cycle counts.
- Accurately executes pick lists according to the prescribed procedure and records the documentation of such movements.
- Performs all necessary transactions in the ERP for materials being issued from or returned to the warehouse.
- Safely transports items to the production floor as needed.
- Organizes material in warehouse-controlled inventory locations and ensures that items are properly labeled per procedure
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to access equipment, supplies, clean.
- Physical labor and ability to be able to stand and/or walk to fill orders, assist customers on the sales floor stock product at various racking levels, use step-ladders, ladders, and place product conveyors, trucks, shelving.
- Knowledge of shop floor systems.
- Three plus (3+) years of material handling experience preferred.
- Previous warehouse experience-the-job preferred but on-the-job training is provided.
- Performs to standards in multiple functions (i.e., productivity, performance, safety, quality).
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives supervision from Supervisor. The position has formally assigned supervisory responsibility and authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and outdoor environment, involving physical work.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. DLP Staffing has a Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- High School Diploma or GED
