Works under the supervision of an Assistant Director of Recreation within the Department of Campus Recreation to manage the Sport Club program.
Job Summary
Work as part of the Competitive Sports unit within the Department of Campus Recreation under the Assistant Director for Competitive Sports. Develop, implement and manage all Sport Club Programs including program management, supervision, student development, and field management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related area or equivalent combination experience and training, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience with recreational sports programming in a university, municipal, non-profit or private setting including event management and supervision.
- Experience in a collegiate recreational sports setting including knowledge of sports (both recreational and competitive), associated rules, administration of contests, and game management.
- Experience with safety and risk practices as they relate to event and facilities management for recreational and competitive sports in both indoor and outdoor facilities/locations.
- Leadership and supervisory experience to select, supervise, motivate and evaluate student employees relative to work performance, crisis management, and peer relationships.
- Experience with budget management and skills to monitor expenditures.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and varied organizational levels within and outside of the University and to provide exceptional customer service.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Master’s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :
- Organizational skills to prioritize workload and meet work assignments, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of student development principles, and ability to provide student development opportunities for all supervisory staff.
- Computer and software skills in the use of Fusion, Fusion IM/Fusion Play, Fusion GO app, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and Google Suite (Docs, Excel)
- Oral and written communication skills to prepare concise, yet comprehensive presentations before small and large audiences.
