We are now hiring a Refrigeration Tech for our Facilities Department!

The Refrigerator Tech plans, coordinates control, performs required tasks, and keeps refrigeration, heating & cooling operational. Provide for an uninterrupted flow of utilities based upon existing design criteria. Primary emphasis shall be placed on preventative and predictive maintenance. The tradesperson shall be capable of working with little or no supervision, and limited direction from specialized trades.

Responsibilities:

• Perform demonstrated competencies described in the Facility Services Skills Sheet for this position.
• Perform all Preventative maintenance procedures, on fixtures and equipment within a predetermined Zone in a timely manner as prescribed in Facility Services Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Primary responsibility and accountability for performing repairs, lubrication and adjustment on all hospital equipment as to ensure a comfortable and safe environment.
• Prioritization of tasks and methods with a great deal of independence to operate within established PHS and Facility Services policies, procedures, and schedules.
• Evaluate and monitor the performance of building and utility systems in assigned Zones.
• Know, understand, and adhere to PHS and Department Policies and Procedures.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and Trade or Vocational School certificate in Refrigeration, Plumber, Electrician, or Energy Center Operators trade.
• At least 3-5 years of Refrigeration, Plumber, Electrician, or Energy Center Operators trade experience preferably in Healthcare industry.
• Journeyman/Journeywoman Refrigeration, Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber, Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician, or Energy Center Operators License may be required.
• Requires thorough knowledge and understanding of maintenance operations components that make up the physical plant; General knowledge of A/C Heating, Refrigeration, and Life Safety Codes
• Refrigeration Tech License required.

Location & Commitments:

Full-time - Non-Exempt.

Job is based at the Presbyterian Northside

Work hours: Monday-Friday (40hrs per week)
