We are the JACOBS OMFS North Regional Support Team. We support roughly 24 projects / sites in the north region which extends from Virginia, up to Canada, coast to coast, and as far west as Iowa. Our goal is to assist our project sites, as well as other JACOBS sites, in performing all tasks that they may not be suited to handle at their site. This includes, Pd.M. tasks, Out of Scope Work, Capital Projects or just catching up with routine corrective or preventative maintenance. In regional support we are assigned home projects that are our typical base of operation but travel to various sites based on a workload schedule to perform the tasks reference above. Typical travel is 75% of your billable time for the year but could potentially go a little higher if the work is available and approved.

We are currently in need of an electrician to support our Regional Lead Electrician in carrying out our current workload. Locations could be Hoboken, NM, Lehigh PA, Wilmington, DE.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• At least 5 years of related electrical experience
• Ability to understand and read electrical drawings, O&M manuals, blueprints and P&ID’s.
• VFD installation and troubleshooting
• Soft Start installation and troubleshooting
• Lighting systems
• Knowledge and experience of bending conduit up to 2”
• Ability to properly size wire and components and perform basic load calculations
• Knowledge of basic industrial sensors and transmitters (flow meters, ultrasonic, float switch, capacitance sensors, etc.)
• Basic knowledge to perform voltage and current readings as well as meg test motors

Ideally, you'll also have:

• Instrumentation installation and calibration
• Basic PLC knowledge and troubleshooting circuits integrated with a PLC or SCADA system
• Knowledge of Microsoft office applications such as teams, word and excel
• Basic knowledge of computer maintenance management software
