Description:

Quality practice and service constitute the core of the profession‘s responsibility to the public. The clinical practice of the lactation consultant focuses on providing lactation care and clinical management in collaboration with other members of the health care team and the client. Breastfeeding and counseling are integral parts of the care provided by the consultant. The lactation consultant has a responsibility to maintain professional conduct and to practice in an ethical manner, accountable for professional actions and legal responsibilities.

Estimated pay range for this position is $32.81 - $42.65 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications:

Degrees: Bachelors Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Neonatal Resuscitation Program Registered Nurse Additional Qualifications: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent, current IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) Certification required. Minimum of 1 year working experience in the field.
