Full Time & Part Time Positions Available - Days/Nights

Promotes the Mission and Core Values of the Arlington of Naples and Life Care Services Communities by demonstrating professional and ethical work practices while fostering excellence in hospitality and customer service. Serves as Nurse (RN) in charge of a nursing unit to render professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of the residents. Administers prescribed medication, maintains residents’ medical records and may assist physician during treatment and observation.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Evaluating

Assists in evaluating and assessing medical, social, psychological, spiritual, restorative and rehabilitative needs and goals of residents. Cooperates with other departments in developing and executing approaches to meet these goals; implements nursing rehabilitation plans; supervises and documents intervention programs. Promotes holistic environment.

Medication Pass

Administers medications and conducts a conscientious and accurate medication pass, maintains the medical record.

Appropriate Care

Follows order for treatments and assures appropriate care is being rendered. Makes corrections as necessary by visiting each resident during shift and contacts physician if necessary. Monitors resident’s nutritional services.

Supports Attending Physician

Supports attending physician making rounds, encouraging physician to record and sign orders, progress notes as well as review treatment plans and resident care plans. Notifies physician and next of kin when warranted. Obtains and transcribes physician’s orders. Communication with families regarding treatment plans.

Leadership to Staff

Provides leadership and guidance to all staff via shift report and supports team building in-services. Promote team work through problem solving issues related to resident care. Directly supervises staff.

Maintains Unit

Maintains a clean and safe unit. Contacts maintenance and/or housekeeping department for services needed. Supports and monitors staff performance of meal service and housekeeping roles.

Education & Experience

• Associate's degree or higher required.
• Current Florida RN license required.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred.
• Cardiac, Wound Care and/or MDS experience a plus
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak English effectively to individuals, groups of customers, or employees of the organization.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, customers, employees, and the general public.
• Possess excellent customer relation skills.
