The Relationship Builder - Teller is responsible for ensuring the delivery of an amazing Member experience to our Members during teller transactions through clear and positive communication, both internally and externally, by demonstrating Mazuma's sales and service model as it relates to conducting teller transaction activities.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities of the Relationship Builder - Teller:


  • Sales & Service
    : The Relationship Builder - Teller will be responsible for ensuring our Members feel valued and appreciated. This should occur while engaging in all relevant sales and service activities in order to initiate, develop, and retain relationships with our Members through servicing their needs according to established metrics, while referring and recommending additional products and services. The role will assist Members with quick and simple service solutions, and will be able to offer and refer additional products or services to Members.
  • People Skills: The Relationship Builder - Teller will be expected to exhibit strong interpersonal skills to Members, Teammates, and to all Team Members to ensure strong working relationships within the entirety of the Mazuma team. This position will be able to manage conflict well, take initiative in resolving conflict, and will have a high level of emotional intelligence and will be an expert at connecting, listening, and asking for additional business that is relevant to the Member.
  • Problem Solving: The Relationship Builder - Teller will work proactively to resolve Member concerns, and will be able to do so by continually developing their job knowledge so that it is appropriate to their role through effective use of all available resources, engagement in training activities, application of learning, willingness to be coached by their leader, and their demonstrated interest in growth related to their role.
  • Compliance: The Relationship Builder - Teller will demonstrate ability to adhere to all policies and procedures related to their role. This Team Member will focus on compliance with all federal regulations pertaining to financial institutions, all established organizational policies and guidelines, and operational procedures.
  • Operations: Some of the primary functions of the role will include effectively and properly handling a high volume of incoming teller transactions and a wide variety of related tasks and file maintenance. The Team Member will need to learn to understand and explain all account activity, fees, and other information to Members, and be able to advise members on processes for standard requests such as completing member disputes, fraud claims, check orders, stop payments, as well as able to assist members with basic account management and any other account activities. Will also display a basic understanding of all systems used internally to serve Members, which will require the ability to multitask and utilize multiple systems to assist with Member service.


To be successful as the
Relationship Builder - Teller we are looking for someone with:


  • 1 - 12 months of similar or related experience


Education:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.

  • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy
  • Proven customer/member service skills
  • Work involves much personal contact with others in and outside of the organization
  • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude
  • Proficient knowledge of office applications (e.g., Outlook, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Synergy/ other banking systems, etc.)
