Relief Driver Responsibilities:
· Follow all written company policies.
· Drive company vehicles to deliver products to customers’ homes, construction sites, or places of business.
· Collect payment from customers as required.
· Ensure the accuracy of orders based on invoices/receipts before delivery.
· Collect and organize required paperwork for delivery and/or transfer activity.
· Inform store managers of customer complaints promptly.
· Load vehicles safely and accurately.
· Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the inside and outside of delivery vehicles.
· Assist customers in the yard with product questions and loading material when not on deliveries.
· Treat all customers and their agents with respect.
· Act as a customer service liaison between the site customer and facility personnel.
· Maintain a clean/safe warehouse and lumber yard.
· Assist in periodic physical inventory counts.
· Operate forklift to load and unload trucks.
· Unload incoming materials, verifying counts for accuracy.
· Properly identify inventory items.
· Ensure all lumber is flat stacked and covered.
· Ensure adequate stock is filled as needed.
· Pick, pull, and pack will-call items for customers as needed.
· Attend monthly store meetings.
· Other assigned tasks as needed.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand for extended periods
· Flexibility to reach and bend while performing job duties
· Capability to lift 40lbs. without assistance – use the “team lift” technique or hand truck for heavier weights
· Ability to sit for long periods while driving
