Research Scientist Cardiovascular & Metabolic Disease (Relocation) Description

Our client in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing industry is looking for a Research Scientist: Cardiovascular & Metabolic Disease to add to their team in Exton, PA. You will be responsible for setting up and conducting all aspects of studies, including in vivo manipulation and data interpretation. To be considered for this role, you must have familiarity with animal models of diabetes, obesity, NASH (nonalcoholic steatohepatitis), and/or other metabolic diseases. To be successful in this role, you must understand basic pharmacological principles and be able to discuss research related to drug formulation and administration in relation to research design and results. Research Scientist Cardiovascular & Metabolic Disease (Relocation) Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to write proposals, design and implement in vivo pharmacology studies
• Work with other scientists and associates to schedule, implement, and manage studies
• Design and implement relevant studies in rats and/or mice
• Setup and manage experiments
• Write reports describing the experimental methodology and results

Research Scientist Cardiovascular & Metabolic Disease (Relocation) Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2+ years research experience required
• Drug formulation, dosing, and animal handling in vivo pharmacology experience required
• Study design and implementation experience with animal models of diabetes, obesity, NASH, or other metabolic disease required
