Residence Advisor Job at EF International Language Campuses
About the Position:
RAs at EF work with a highly diverse student population and high-energy staff. The position requires great flexibility and requires you to wear many hats, including administrator, leader, activity leader, role model, counselor, policy enforcer and superhero.
RAs have the amazing chance to get to know and work with an incredible population of international students. Previous Resident Advisor or Residential Life experience is a plus and/or an interest in education, counseling, and international relations.
About the School
The Honolulu School is in Waikiki and has an average of 250 students, with approximately 100 living in the residence. We have students from over 50 different countries. Most of our students are between the ages of 18-25.

RAs receive free room and board in addition to a competitive wage; this is a live-in position.
Resident Advisor Duties:
RAs are responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all students living in an EF residence.
- Ensure a safe and respectful environment for all residents
- Conducting rounds to ensure student safety and rule compliance
- Making sure quiet hours and guest policies are being adhered to
- Serve on on-call rotation shift
- Follow-up on roommate mediations, conflict resolution, and identify/assist with crisis management
- Complete nightly incident reports and duty logs; assist with follow up as directed by Housing Manager and School Director
- Checking rooms weekly to ensure facilities are in good condition and well-maintained
- Reporting and assisting with maintenance issues
- Respond appropriately and effectively to tasks assigned by the Housing Manager
- Participate in meetings and training sessions, as scheduled
- Assisting with student check in & check out
- Perform duties as needed
Requirements:
- English Language Fluency
- Customer Service Experience, or Resident Advisor Experience
- Must possess PC skills including basic MS Office applications
- Innovative, organized, and attentive to detail
- Must be able to enforce school policies
- Must be social, fun and a team player
- Must be able to pass a background check
