Restaurant Servers are responsible for positive Guest interactions while delivering accurate, efficient, and intentional service. Servers are expected to always be attentive to our Guests’ needs, providing a welcoming and comfortable dining experience. Servers must be knowledgeable about our company history, menu items, and cocktail selection to answer Guests' questions confidently. Excelling under pressure, staying organized, and having a great attitude are indispensable in this role.
The right person will be passionate about hospitality, food, and exceeding Guest expectations. With previous experience working as a Server in a fast-paced restaurant setting, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have an honest, friendly, and outgoing character. This person will understand the ultimate goal of providing high-quality service to maintain and attract Guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare restaurant tables for dining, paying particular attention to sanitation, silverware placement, and condiment order.
- Attend to customers upon entrance in a friendly, welcoming manner
- Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
- Help Guests select food and beverages by presenting restaurant menus, offering cocktails or specials, sharing personal recommendations, and answering food preparation questions
- Take and deliver orders accurately and in an efficient manner
- Serve Guests in courses while identifying special dietary needs or special requests
- Properly open and pour bottles of wine at the tableside
- Maintain table settings by removing all finished courses, replenishing silverware, refilling beverages, and disposing of trash
- Collaborate with other servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Promptly address Guests' complaints or problems with a positive attitude and refer Guests to management when necessary
- Prepare checks that are itemized and reflect accurate meal costs and sales tax; issue billing and accept payment; return cash change or credit card with signature slip to Guests
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing role
- Ability to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
- Excellent communication skills, including great phone etiquette, required
- Must be professional with a customer-oriented approach
- Positive interpersonal skills required
- Must be thoroughly attentive to cleanliness and safety
- Responsible, trustworthy, and friendly character required
- A high school diploma is a plus but not required
