RF Desense Hardware Engineer, Pixel Job at Google
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- 3 years of experience working in Radio Frequency (RF) design and development
- Experience in RF/Electrical Engineering component characteristics/behavior and performing RF RX sensitivity tests in a radiated environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with Wireless Co-Existence and Desense mitigation schemes, and in CST simulation tools
- Experience with current and upcoming RF standards
- Experience in RF hardware and system design
- Knowledge of electromagnetic and antenna theory inside portable wireless devices, including proper grounding, isolation, and Desense mitigation techniques
- Excellent problem-solving, investigative, technical reporting, presentation, and communication skills

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$212,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Design simulation, validation, data analysis, and debug across a wide variety of projects for various wireless technologies to optimize overall system performance.
- Define RF Desense test requirements/methodology, design/implement test systems, debug/resolve issues, and manage the process to ensure our products meet all RF Desense performance specifications.
- Understand relevant wireless technologies and industry standards in relation to our products.
- Work with internal/external engineering groups to debug RF Desense issues and provide system mitigations to optimize performance.
- Implement test stations at the factory to gather statistics, screening devices for RF Desense performance, and mock-up/proposal of design changes to resolve any issues found.
