Job Overview

The Risk Analyst will provide data analytical support towards the Company-wide strategy of risk management, security, claims management and loss prevention processes that integrate into our business model to reduce losses, increase efficiency, and protect Company teammates and assets. This position will focus on automating systems and processes in order to develop operating efficiencies and enhance current capabilities. This role should help define governance and work within agreed-upon governance; develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses. Creates documentation and provides training and support to business leaders as needed, with an emphasis on data integrity and accuracy.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages system and database structure, data integrity/quality, and maintenance for all Risk and Security information systems and platforms such as Unify, Navex, Gallagher-Bassett, Ventiv IRM, Lytx DriveCam, Fusion Risk Management (Business Continuity), Everbridge, SuperVision, etc. In addition, this role would serve as a liaison between IT and Risk Management, establishing technical guidance and administration of all data connections.
  • Establishes the aggregation of data from multiple sources to provide clarity of risks, concerns, and outcomes of decisions (Unify – physical abilities testing and fit-for-duty). Collaboration with internal Risk teammates and cross-functional departments to effectively analyze and present data. Monitoring of internal and external data points to impact risk decision-making.
  • Leads data reporting through gathering, managing, and analyzing internal claim data, targeting frequency reduction and cost trends. This would include creation of reports, dashboards, presentations, and process documents to display results. (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, PowerPoint, SharePoint Online). For Security, coordinating and developing automated usage reports with Galaxy (used by CAAS, HR, Facilities).
  • Identifies and resolves data reporting issues in a timely fashion, while looking for continuous improvement opportunities. Troubleshoots and performs root cause analysis on systems issues, across platforms and systems to ensure quick service restoration of problems.
  • Assists management in developing recommendations and changes to risk programs, and associated documents based on changing organizational needs, operational changes and alignments, and updates in regulations.

  • Functionally competent in multiple software systems including data processing, data analytics, Tableau, PowerBI, Analysis for Office, PowerPivot, etc.
  • Highly collaborative, excellent communication skills, and a sense of urgency

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to 3 years work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics
