Oregon Integrated Health is an Integrated Primary Care Medical Home that is hiring for a Part Time Medical Doctor with an Administrative roles and tasks for our Rural Health Candidate Clinic in Florence Oregon. The Medical Director will provide direct patient care for in office and telemedicine appointments in addition to administrative duties shared with our Senior Director of Clinical Operations. Medical Director follows regulatory guidelines set forth by the State of Oregon and Rural health clinic code of federal regulations. Medical Director works with our Senior Director of Clinical Operations, providers and support staff to ensure that an efficient system of high quality of health standards are performed for all patients.


The Medical Director is responsible for keeping the clinical providers up to date of all information shared by the Senior Director of Clinical Operations. Additionally, practicing as a Physician responsible for providing high-quality primary care services by diagnosing patient conditions using but not limited to, analyzing reports, test results, medical records, and immediate-family histories and including examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.


Our clinics are comprised of Family Nurse Practitioners, Naturopathic Physicians, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, Counselors, Chiropractors, Acupuncture, Physical Therapy, Massage Therapy and oral health and Vaccine for Children Program.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Administrative:

  • Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, including regularly scheduled meetings, clinical audits and peer reviews; to be monitored by the Senior Director of Clinical Operations.
  • Provides leadership within the clinic, and advice and recommendations to the Senior Director of Clinical Operations.
  • Assists in the provision of continuing education, on-the-job training, and the orientation of community health center staff as requested. Participate in the development of medical department policies and procedures in accordance with policies, accreditation requirements and professional standards.
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures in accordance with accreditation requirements and professional standards for RHC.
  • Knowledge of the clinical workflows, regulations and procedures of Oregon Integrated Health and willingness to learn.
  • Safety: Responsible for ensuring that all duties, responsibilities and operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel involved, including patients and themselves by following required Federal/State/RHC protective protocols, policies and guidelines.

Clinical:

  • The Primary Care Provider will provide primary care in an integrated setting with various other specialties at the clinic.
  • Primary Care Provider will have access to Medical Assistants that will room patients, collect vitals, submit referrals and perform electronic orders as submitted by provider.
  • Primary Care Provider will have access to Community Health Workers that will follow up on ED visits, referrals, complex care patients and quality metric data.
  • New patient visits are 45 minutes and follow up 30 minutes, Urgent appointments are 15 minutes. Same day appointments will be available for each provider.
  • Conduct standard medical and physical examinations and perform standard diagnostic tests in office and through telemedicine conferencing.
  • Orders, reviews and provides patient instructions regarding diet and activities and their modifications as appropriate.
  • Refer patients to other health professionals in the treatment of diseases requiring further diagnosis and evaluation.
  • Provides appropriate medical record documentation in an EHR on all patients in accordance with clinic policy.
  • Excellent communication and written skills. Must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of primary care.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Must hold MD, or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • 3 years of experience working with a community clinic is highly desirable.
  • At least 1 years within a leadership and/or executive role.
  • Must hold a valid Oregon State Physician
  • Must be Board Certified or Board eligible in Family Practice or Internal Medicine or other full scope Primary Care Specialty.
  • Current DEA license.

JOB DETAILS

  • Part Time Position 0.5 FTE - open to negotiate to Full Time after 6 months.

  • $3000 Sign On Bonus, paid first pay period following 90 days of employment with OIH
  • Salary $92,500- $97,500 based on 0.5 FTE
  • Health, Vision, Dental Benefits paid at 50% of Base Plan offered by OIH, eligible after 60 days of employment
  • 401K Benefit: OIH matches 100% of your contributions up to 3% of your compensation, plus OIH matches 50% on your deferrals that are greater than 3%, but less than or equal to 5% of your compensation (Eligibility Requirements: 1yr employment, 1000hrs worked, at least 21yrs of age)
  • Eligible for OIH Benefits after 90 Day Probation Period
  • State Medical License and DEA 100% reimbursed, completing 90 days of employment
  • Continuing Education Benefit up to $1600 annually, completing 90 days of employment
  • 8 Holidays Per Year:
    • 7 Clinic Closures, 1 Floating Holiday, eligible immediately upon hire
  • PTO 160 Hours Per Year:
    • Vacation PTO accrues based on time worked, with a maximum annual accrual of 80 hours per FTE 1.0, available for use after 90 days of employment
    • Frontloaded PTO is uploaded based on time worked, with a maximum annual eligibility of 80 hours per FTE 1.0, available for use after 90 days of employment
    • Protected Sick Time accrues 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, max use of 40 per year, available immediately as time accrues after first day of employment
