Position Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Job Overview:
The Safety Compliance Coordinator position is a full-time position with typical hours on Monday – Friday from 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM. This position is responsible for the management of safety programs and ensuring the company’s compliance with all transportation and safety regulations, to include but not limited to DOT, OSHA and all state and federal regulations.
Essential Functions:
Complies with all procedures outlined in CalArk’s Policy Manuals, Department Standard Operating Procedures, FMCSA Regulations, DOT, and OSHA requirements. This includes but may not be limited to:
· Assists drivers with HOS/ELD questions/issues.
· Runs weekly HOS reports and document issues.
· Monitors/documents call in complaints.
· Creates and maintains DQ files and processes all DOT required paperwork.
· Manages driver MVR and FMCSA violation databases.
· Accident/Cargo/Injury intake.
· Assists with driver expirations and random drug screening process.
· Assists with CDL and Recertification Physical Renewals.
· Data entry and reporting-Assists with intake and entry of roadside inspection and citations and accident and cargo when necessary.
· Assists with training and coaching concerning video event recording and critical events.
· Assists with assigning training and maintaining the training database (Carrier’s Edge).
· Answers and assists with all general safety related calls.
· Takes steps to ensure workplace conditions comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
· Ensures compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and other relative agencies as the pertain to CalArk.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
· Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
· Other tasks assigned by the Safety Manager and the Safety Director.
· This position is designated as “safety sensitive” under Arkansas Act 593 of 2017, an amendment to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment of 2016, meaning that a person performing this position under the influence of marijuana may constitute a threat to health or safety.

· Ability to read materials and identify relevant details, judge accuracy, and appropriateness.

Qualifications
· High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Some college education preferred but not required.
· Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to learn and utilize online services to obtain information.
· Strong decision-making skills.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent time management skills.
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
· Must be able to pass a background check.
