Description
The Department of Energy (DOE), Hanford Site, Assistant Manager for Safety and Quality (AMSQ), Nuclear Safety Division (NSD) requires part-time general support services (
600 hours).
The contractor will have responsibility for execution of the work scope below:
SCOPE
1. Perform as a subject matter expert (SME) on the ORP Safety Basis Review Team and (SBRT)
2. Assist the SBRT Team Leader in the role of expert reviewer during DOE’s review and comment resolution of the Hazard Analysis (HA), Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis (PDSA), Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) development, and PDSA changes performed, and other supporting documents to meet Hanford safety basis needs.
3. The SME will provide review capabilities in support of DSA revisions and DSA supporting documents. These DSA activities are to be reviewed to follow WTP procedures and similarly aligned other Government agency regulations or procedures. The SME review is particularly important to provide sufficient technical bases for eventual DOE approval of the WTP DSAs in DOE Safety Evaluation Reports (SERs).…
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education – BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management.
2. Experience – Nine (9) years of directly applicable experience in applying relevant theories, principles, and practices to tasks, problems, and issues.
3. Knowledge of accepted industry standards;
4. Senior Certification as Safety Professional
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills
6. Demonstrate familiarity or relevant experience or ability to perform under Hanford or other government agency procedures.
7. Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.
8. Fully vaccinated against COVID, a granted exception to vaccination for COVID, or able to meet entry and testing requirements for entrance and work in federal buildings.
9. U.S. Citizenship.
LOCATION
Work shall be conducted at the Department of Energy government offices, The Hanford Site, and Richland, WA. This position may be telework or remote eligible at the discretion of the Technical Monitor (TM) in consultation with the Contracting Officer (CO). If in-person support is identified as required for any reason and for any length of time by the TM or CO, the contractor shall report for duty in-person as requested.
