Position Summary

Responsible for fielding and handling customer accounts not assigned to specific outside Sales Representative.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from customers
• Work with dispatch regarding scheduling and entering sales orders into JDE
• Responsible for daily edits and resolving customer issues
• Set up orders for cash sales and interplant sales
• Assisting Sales Manager with other duties as needed
• Positively represent Martin Marietta in all aspects of sales position
• Complete other administrative functions related to sales

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Sales/Marketing or related field or equivalent experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic understanding of various product lines (stone, sand & gravel), and some understanding of applications for those products
• Basic understanding of the production process, production capabilities, and material inventories a plus
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to be responsive, professional, assist with conflict resolution, and ask questions to successfully complete order
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Solid organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task as needed
• Willing to work flexible hours when necessary
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
