The Sales Coordinator is responsible for coordination of efforts and administrative support for the Sales Team. Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as business requires – on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Job Functions

· Report to work as scheduled, on time, in proper attire including nametag.

· Provide administrative support to sales team members as assigned.

· Coordinate and arranging details for assigned group events. Provide on-site coordination for assigned groups.

· Work to ensure guests are satisfied with product and service.

· Maintain knowledge of all hotel services/features and hours of operation.

· Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy, whatever time of day.

· Compose, type and edit all correspondence, develop and maintain follow-up task systems

· Prepare month-end Sales reports as requested

· Anticipate and prepare documents needed for meetings and maintain various reports.

· Maintain special event dates, reports, print daily and weekly reports

· Maintain up-to-date files to ensure proper coordination of sales commitment as well as customer needs.

· Provide relevant information to all departments as needed, receive and direct calls, respond to inquiries and research issues when appropriate.

· Respond to assigned RFP’s for group and transient segments.

· Answer inquiry calls and follow through with accounts as assigned.

· Win business with new prospects and grow business with existing customers.

· Research, analyze and call prospective customers as assigned.

· Research, negotiate and answer incoming requests as assigned.

· Must practice superior sales skills that result in closing of sales and ensure building/maintaining of professional business relations.

Skills, Education & Other Requirements

· 4-year College Degree, or equivalent, related experience

· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

· Willing to travel and must possess a valid driver’s license.
