A top client is currently searching for a remote-based Sales Manager to join their team . The Sales Manager is responsible for managing specific accounts within the food contract manufacturing industry and maximizing existing business with current customers as well as developing new accounts. The Sales Manager is also accountable for profitable sales growth, allotted budget maintenance, new product placements, and promotional activities.
As the Sales Manager you:
  • Work closely with operations team on planning and scheduling
  • Obtain new business by identifying and prioritizing sales opportunities
  • Manage and address sales volumes, pricing, credit issues and account receivables via interaction with the business support teams
  • Represents the communication link between the company and the customers
  • Manage sales contract execution from agreement to on time delivery
  • Responsible for understanding and managing the financial aspects of the sale such as pricing, costs, promotions and margins
  • Initiate, establish and strengthen the strategic business planning relationship with key customers to grow our business through category sales/profit growth
  • Business goals – directly oversee profitable sales to meet and exceed the financial goals by maintaining sales revenues
  • Management, supervision, and best practices of a customer service representative
  • Accurately forecast sales and production needs
  • Represent the company at events and trade shows in an effort to continually promote the company and obtain new customers
  • Plan for and implement new products (with R&D) by collaborating with department heads
  • Monitor trends and behavior of competing products in the market
  • Assists in customizing sales and marketing aids to create better branded visibility in accounts

To be successful in the role you must possess:
  • A high level of professionalism with the ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
  • 3+ years’ experience of extensive sales in the food industry
  • At least 2-4 years in a management role
  • Demonstrated financial acumen; P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience.
  • Solid and proven track record for sales and leadership success
