The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for administering the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system . This includes configuring, customizing, and optimizing the system to meet the needs of the organization by maintaining the sy stem updates, enhancements, building reports, managing dashboards, workflows, and security.

This position reports onsite at our Roseville, CA location 2-3 days per week. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

The Salesforce Administrator Essential Responsibilities include the following. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Implements and manages Salesforce configurations for Sales Cloud and Salesforce Field Services.
  • Troubleshoots production issues, deploys bug fixes, and maintains the overall stability of the Salesforce platform.
  • User and license management, including user provisioning and deprovisioning, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, security settings, and sharing rules.
  • Completes proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Checks, and Optimizer.
  • Ensures proper security models are in place and maintained for data access and maintains confidentiality.
  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance, upgrades, releases, environment management, architecture, reporting, governance, testing, and release management of the Salesforce platform.
  • Develops and maintains Salesforce reports, analytics, and dashboards to support the monitoring of sales and key performance metrics by management.
  • Reviews release notes, tests new features and functionality, identifies potential issues and communicates relevant information to users to ensure smooth rollouts of new Salesforce platform releases and/or third-party integrations.
  • In coordination with the Training and Development team, develops and maintains the Salesforce training program for users to ensure uniformity and success.
  • Development and maintenance of Salesforce policies and procedures, test cases, and reference documents.
  • Collaborates with teams across the companies to lead the implementation and optimization of the Salesforce platform.
  • Identifies new Salesforce functionality, apps, and tools that could positively impact business processes.
  • Vets Salesforce and third-party vendors, leads discussions with internal and external teams for implementation, and assess the potential impact on the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in business review of new tools/functionalities, makes recommendations, and helps support business case development.
  • Converts business requirements into technical specifications and effectively communicates technical information to non-technical users and/or stakeholders.

The Salesforce Administrator Non-Essential Responsibilities:

  • Identifies unsafe behavior or potentially hazardous working conditions and provides continuous training and coaching to others on Kodiak safety standards.
  • Company approved drivers driving on behalf of the company must follow all state and federal vehicle and safety laws and regulations.
  • Works closely with IT partners to develop and execute data backup and recovery strategies.
  • Collaborates with managed services partners to ensure optimization of Salesforce tools and integrations.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position.

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in information systems and/or minimum of five years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Salesforce Advanced Administration certification required.
  • Language Skills: Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization in English. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party in English. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options in English.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills: Expert knowledge of programming languages, algorithms and data structures, integrated development environments, debugging, software development methodologies, web development, cybersecurity, and database management.
