Compensation:

Hiring Salary Range Posted: $19.75-$19.75

Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

We are hiring a Ranch Technician for the 2023 harvest season. If you are passionate about viticulture, general agriculture, biology, winemaking, or agricultural engineering join us for the season! As a Ranch Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our vineyard's performance data meets the highest quality standards, thereby contributing to the company's overall operational performance.

What You Will Do:

• Participates in monitoring and collecting data such as pressure bomb readings, pestchecks, vine water status, vine health, canopy conditions, petioles and soil conditions.
• Collects labor and equipment operations performance data.
• Participates in monitoring research and production block vines.
• Collects soil samples; performs fruit sugar sampling and testing prior to and during harvest.
• Performs vineyard scouting.
• Collaborates with ranch technicians and ranch leaders to accomplish respective assignments.
• Participates in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ensures that day-to-day actions and decisions taken are consistent with all quality standards.
• Participates in the training and coaching of vineyard associates.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.

What You Will Need:

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Required to work any shift and work overtime when required.
• Required to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
