Senior Accountant Job at CE Broker & EverCheck
CE Broker, EverCheck & Immuware are sister products under one umbrella. The CE Broker solution is a full-lifecycle CE compliance platform for thousands of state and national licensure boards, agencies, associations, and millions of licensed professionals. The EverCheck solution monitors healthcare compliance and provides access to accredited learning courses for over 400 hospital networks nationally. The Immuware solution includes innovative vaccination management and illness tracking software, plus streamlined compliance status dashboards that increase accountability and take the guesswork out of identifying compliance gaps.
CE Broker is headquartered in Jacksonville Beach, FL and is expanding its accounting team in anticipation of continued growth and expansion.
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Controller, the Sr. Accountant will help manage the accounting operations of the Company. The Sr Accountant will help manage and execute monthly accounting tasks, monthly financial close activities, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, ad hoc financial analysis and other activities depending on the needs of the business.
Schedule:
Full-time, scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, unless otherwise required by project activities. During the initial training period, daily office attendance will be an expectation; after that time, office attendance will be on an as-needed basis, as determined by the team and manager.
Responsibilities:
Monthly reporting: assist team in preparing monthly financial reports for Sr. management and the Board of Directors
Monthly close activities, including Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Manage the company’s accounts receivables and collections process
Oversee sales tax reconciliations with Quickbooks and filings using Avalara
Prepare and record journal entries to the general ledger
Interpret financial information from journals and ledgers (resolve issues)
Prepare test materials and work with auditors for annual audit process
Analyze budgets and variance from budgets in operating departments
Create reports for internal and external reporting
Perform ad hoc financial analysis to help resolve issues and problem solve
Work with internal departments to accomplish company objections
Requirements:
4 + years of relevant experience in the accounting operations in a small to medium sized organization
BS/BA in Accounting or related field.
Proficient in Excel and Google Suite
Accounting software knowledge required; Quickbooks or Netsuite
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both in person and via phone and email
Knowledge in processing, monitoring and reconciling general ledger accounts
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Account Receivable (AR) processes
Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
