Georgia-Pacific has an immediate need for a remote-based Senior Asset Manager - Converting to champion Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and continuous improvement programs across multiple corrugated converting operations and developing the Asset Centered Operations Strategy. This is an exciting venture for an experienced manufacturing, data analytics and continuous improvement leader. This key position provides the opportunity to leverage resources, innovative technologies, and continuous improvement programs to strategically position the division for growth.

The Senior Asset Manager will primarily be responsible for optimizing converting equipment performance across our entire Corrugated Division. The successful candidate will enjoy utilizing engineering expertise to improve current machine performance while generating scopes, estimates, and design for modified and/or new components. This is a remote based opportunity with domestic travel to support our 35 nationwide facilities.

What You Will Do

  • Advancing our company culture through Koch Industries business philosophy Principle Based Management (PBM)
  • Leading and fostering a safe work environment that values risk identification and personal ownership
  • Leading fleet strategy across multiple sites for assigned equipment types
  • Understanding commercial requirements, using data to baseline equipment performance, benchmark to determined opportunities and developing resource allocation plans for targeted improvements in OEE
  • Leveraging MX (Manufacturing Excellence) team resources and lead site reliability and operations teams to identify and lead execution for targeted assets
  • Assessing current performance of existing assets across our network of plants
  • Processing include Corrugated converting assets, control strategies, feedback loops, electrical and mechanical system health, and automation improvements
  • Developing engineering, operation and maintenance advancements that lead to improved safety, reduced costs, and improved efficiency
  • Supporting the growth of analytics and the collection of data, application of historian systems, and the application of systems to reduce process interventions.
  • Partnering in developing investment strategy and project planning; lead execution
  • Mentoring and ensuring KPIs drive overarching goal attainment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • BS degree or higher in Engineering OR experience with corrugated converting assets
  • Experience in process support, optimization activities, or capital projects
  • Examples of support include process troubleshooting, remote controls troubleshooting/support, and optimization of processes
  • Experience developing a business case and/or financial justifications to upgrade assets with reliability technology to eliminate failures
  • Experience analyzing process data to optimize equipment performance
  • Experience working with operations and review operating logs & downtime pareto analyses to identify equipment issues
  • Able to travel 50%-70% of the time

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Engineering experience in Corrugated Converting assets or Corrugated manufacturing industries
  • Experience in data analysis and predictive modeling
  • Experience with Digital Process Optimization principles
  • Demonstrated optimization of equipment, process and systems to consistently out-perform OEM design
