The Senior Benefits Analyst will assist in the administration and analysis of the health and welfare (H&W) programs. This role will provide day-to-day support and will help in the development, analysis, and communication of the programs to drive benefits value perception throughout the workforce. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Benefits, and plays a key role in ensuring the administration, analysis, and communication of Aspire Bakeries benefits programs align with our overall philosophy. Responsibilities include day-to-day H&W program administration, compliance testing, responding to employee inquiries, support with open enrollment, and other ancillary benefit programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Consults with and advises employees and or HR Partners on program eligibility and plan provisions.
  • Provides assistance in reviewing comparative studies and makes recommendations for changes to our programs to ensure competitiveness.
  • Assists in the preparation and distribution of communication materials, including different media platforms, to engage employees on benefits value proposition while ensuring compliance with required notifications.
  • Assists in evaluating and modifying policies and programs to ensure programs are current, competitive, and in compliance with internal and external legal requirements.
  • Supports the annual benefits open enrollment process, including working with vendors/brokers consultants during the renewal period, gathering and analyzing data, and preparing recommendations.
  • Manages online benefits enrollment system, ensuring accuracy through data testing and vendor management.
  • Manages vendor services and monitors performance guarantees to ensure a high degree of service delivery.
  • Prepares and files annual State and Federal reporting requirements, including but not limited to 5500 filings, and various ACA requirements.
  • Helps administer other ancillary benefit programs, including retirement, paid time off, commuter benefits, tuition reimbursement, and service award programs.
  • Other projects/duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma: BA/BS degree in HR, Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in the administration and communication of H&W programs in a multi-state capacity in the U.S. necessary. Knowledge of Canadian H&W programs and administration helpful
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines; project management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to read, write and speak Spanish preferred.
  • Self-starter who can collaborate as a team member and work independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively speak and write in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent people skills, including listening abilities coupled with the skill to analyze complex issues and present clear and logical recommendations.

Salary Range:
$72,000 - $87,000

The final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, shift, education, skill, and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed In this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
