The Role at a Glance
As a Senior Consultant on the Benefits Technology team, you would play a critical role in coordinating the BenTech roadmap and strategy with our operational teams. This is an opportunity to leverage your strategic, analytical, agile, project management, and creative skills as part of a high-performing team.
You will coordinate and provide operational subject matter expertise and direction to assist in the develop and implementation of complex 3rd-party digital platform technology/digital projects/initiatives in support of Lincolns group protection strategies.
As part of the BenTech team you will also support technology/digital solutions that enhance Lincolns group protection positioning in the market and drive growth. You will participate in discussions with digital technology providers and lead internal resources in the execution of project deliverables and on-going support of Lincolns group protection portfolio goals and objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Advocates for BenTech strategy and roadmap to promote Lincoln’s 3rd party integrations and drive growth.
- Consults on operational impacts to the roadmap and specific capabilities and partners in development.
- Coordinates and negotiates with operational teams to establish processes and procedures for Lincoln to be successful implementing and supporting digital integrations.
- Develop and present recommendations to address gaps in the way we support integrations from a multiple perspectives (sales/account management, technical, and operational process)
- Ensures all relevant operational teams are aware of how the digital integration strategy impacts them and partners with operational teams to overcome challenges that may arise with new digital integrations.
- Collaborates with internal teams: including operations, CX, IT product development & pricing, marketing, sales, and/or strategy, to understand and document current & emerging complex third party technology needs & pain points.
- Creates criteria & metrics to evaluate success of third-party technology/digital initiatives to ensure favorable ROI for Lincoln
- Work with operations to pilot new integrations with customers and benefits technology partners, while bringing thought leadership on how to establish a process that is repeatable and scalable.
- Provides subject matter expertise & market intelligence to internal teams on evolving technology capabilities.
What we’re looking for
Must Haves:
- Ability to present and accurately articulate BenTech goals, strategy and overlap with Lincoln’s group protection operational goals and strategy.
- 3-5+ years of demonstrated experience in technical implementations or operations,
- Understanding of Group Benefits and experience in one or more products (STD, LTD, Life, FMLA, etc)
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong interpersonal/collaboration skills; ability to influence/work with people across multiple disciplines and diverse teams to achieve results.
Nice to Haves:
- Strategy, consulting, or change management experience and/or MBA.
- Foundational understanding of API's and how they function.
- Experience integrating with external HCM or Benefit Admin Platforms
- Agile experience

Pay Range: $87,700 - $159,900
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
