Reputable local non-profit organization looking for a Senior Communications Director!

Direct hire opportunity

Job duties:

• Operate as a strategic partner in organization overseeing communications efforts in dynamic and diverse environment
• Bring media relations expertise and drive the growth of news placements across multiple platforms
• Work with organizational leadership on communications initiatives
• Oversight of organizational message to the community through media outlets
• Generating content for organization to support the mission
• Proactively research marketing and media trends and contribute innovative ideas
• Utilize data to anticipate trends and stay ahead of positioning of organization
• Oversee overall efforts towards high volume media work
• Recognizing and capitalizing on various communications opportunities for fair and balanced coverage

Requirements:

• Must have at least ten years of previous experience with public relations and marketing, specifically relationships with the media
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
• Must have already established media partnerships and relationships
• Proven track record in successfully placing stories with solid brand positioning in a wide range of outlets
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at a time

Pay: Up to $100K annually, with some flex, based on experience
