Senior Construction Cost Estimator Job at RIG Construction Group
Senior Construction Cost Estimator is needed to perform the following duties:
· Negotiates, administers, and controls contracts with architects, developers, other public agencies
· Determine total cost of materials, equipment, utilities and labor for construction documents inclusive of compiling questions and comments related to the project scope of work
· Attend jobsite walkthrough and incorporate costs associated with the project and prepare estimates
· Set job working hours, determining costs, sequencing tasks, obtaining material and securing best deals with vendors and sub contractors.
· Oversee all aspects of the building process, working closely with engineers and architects to develop plans, establish timetables and determine labor and material cost.
· Operate computer-aided drafting (CAD) and other software to produce designs, working drawings, forms and records. Also creating presentations for clients using Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop CS6, AutoCAD.
· Draw rough and detailed proportionate sketches buildings and its interior elements.
· Monitor progress of the job by making sure that manufacturing meets the project schedule and long lead items do not affect the schedule
· Keep track of the latest estimating technology and industry – related techniques.
· Collaborating with other terms, conducting site visits, and providing other services like bid deliveries when required
Bachelor Degree is required in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or Architecture, Urban and Regional Design.
