Job summary
Amazon is seeking a senior content/communication writer to join the Global Brand Relations team. As the editorial owner of brand-facing content, you'll lead the content strategy, editorial roadmap, content creation and content management efforts that enable us to deliver clear and relevant information to brands, associations and Brand Protection influentials across the globe. You'll collaborate with internal business stakeholders (including product owners, PR, and marketing) to develop scalable strategies to increase the breadth of information we share with brands and decrease the time and effort required to publish high quality content.
This leader has a strong content and technical writing or editing background, and is curious to learn about Brand Protection and to communicate with both our internal and external customers about the innovative work we do to address product integrity issues.

The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated, well-seasoned communications writer that possesses sound judgment and impeccable writing skills. This position offers an incredible opportunity to create highly impactful content and communication for our customers in the brand protection space.

Key job responsibilities
  • Defining and upholding the bar for brand-facing content - to communicate with brands about the exciting work Amazon is doing in the brand protection space, how to navigate our products and ways they can protect their brands and customers;
  • Collaborating with product and business teams to define content that will coach brands, inform them of product launches, teach them about policy changes, and provide other relevant content;
  • Define and create new brand protection content (Newsletter, stories, press releases);
  • Serve as speechwriter to senior leaders, including driving the creation and delivery of compelling, executive-level presentation materials (slides, scripts, messaging documents, and customer stories);
  • Draft and review business documents and edits for grammar, style, and form.
  • 5+ years as a technical writer, editor, or content strategist, with a focus on brand protection
  • Experience working as part of a global team with remote colleagues
  • Experience working in an agile content development environment
  • Experience with a markup language such as HTML or XML.
  • You will need to provide a writing portfolio or complete a writing exercise
  • Strong bias for action and the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
The pay range for this position in Jersey City is $128,400 - 173,700/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Pay Transparency Regulation of Jersey City Municipal Code. Base pay information is based on market location.
