Department Overview
The Enterprise Protection Data & Analytics (EPD&A) Business Operations team is responsible for the management and governance of Financials for EPD&A and for the execution of program and project delivery for Corporate and Cybersecurity. The Cybersecurity Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is the arm of the EPD&A Business Operations team responsible for Cybersecurity projects and programs.
Position Summary
This is a challenging and fast paced position in PG&E’s EPD&A organization and is integral to leading product teams that execute projects within the Cybersecurity Portfolio Management Office (PMO). The Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager serves as the lead PM for delivering all projects within the assigned program(s) within scope, budget, and schedule. The position requires experience with Cybersecurity Project and Program Management using both waterfall and agile methods. This person will support the successful delivery of Cybersecurity programs and projects including reporting, risk and issue tracking, quality control and post project stabilization. Additionally, they will collaborate with and manages cross functional teams to provide end-to-end delivery support, financial oversight, and analysis & governance.
The work location is hybrid and can be located within the PG&E service territory but will require periodic travel for in-person workshops and meeting as business needs require.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
California Minimum: $123,000
California Maximum: $197,000
Job Responsibilities
The Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager leads the delivery of projects of the assigned program(s) within scope, budget, and schedule. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead the product team, including the PMO enablers, to ensure that business objectives are met through project execution
Organize and plan the execution of projects (typically $100K to $5M in budget) to implement priority features and capabilities from the product backlog
Manage the backlog of new features and capabilities required by the Product Owner in support of business objectives
Lead the development of program increments (PI), epics, and sprints in support of project delivery
Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance with broad scope and high complexity
Clearly define and communicate roles, responsibilities, and expectations of the project team
Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including sponsors, clients, and vendors
Maintain accurate project records, including scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, and issues within the identified system of record
Accurately forecast and manage project labor, material, and contract costs within a specified standard
Organize, develop, and maintain up-to-date detailed project schedules and work plans
Monitor critical project milestones, and identify ways to resolve issues
Manage project scope, schedule, and cost changes and obtain approval for deviations as required
Manage purchases of goods and services in support of project delivery
Communicate project status (scope, schedule, cost, risks, issues) to stakeholders and management
Adapt to changing processes and execution requirements
Qualifications
Minimum:
BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years’ experience managing one or more moderately complex technology projects
Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute (PMI) or ability to obtain within one year.
Desired:
Experience with technology professional service agreements and materials logistics
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or SAFe Certified Professional
Experience with the following tools: Planisware, Agile and Waterfall Methodologies, Infrastructure and Application implementation, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Advanced understanding of project management principles and methodologies
Strong organizational skills to bring order across disparate teams, making agreements with stakeholders to meet objectives
Demonstrated financial acumen, working within both systems and spreadsheets to plan and track budgets
Demonstrated planning ability to drive comprehensive view of delivery scope, schedule, and budget
Excellent communication (oral and written) and collaboration skills
Understanding of PG&E’s business and IT strategies and objectives
Workforce planning and resource management skills
Understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and functions
Proficiency in negotiation and risk management
