Sr Director Business Development, MID/IMSD/IIBU
Description
As a Sr Director for Renesas’ Memory interface product division, your will be responsible for managing the business development and product marketing activities for platform connectivity products such as CXL controller, PCIe retimers and I3C expansion hub. Additional you will be the responsible for revenue generation target for these products and influence the expenses. In other words, you will have GM responsibilities (with a dotted-line engineering reporting). I am seeking an individual with a strong desire to interact with our customers and sales team, promote our NPI products and emerging technologies to identify compelling opportunities and potential sponsorships. Results orientation, self-motivation and the drive to win are among the most important qualities for this position, as well as a strong team-work mindset.
Responsibilities
- Position: Sr / GM (Platform connectivity products) reporting to VP/GM of MID/PCP
- Business development, Product Marketing and Product Management for following productlines:
- CXL controllers and associated products
- PCIe Retimers
- BMC SoC
- I3C expansion hub
- Generate $100m in revenue consideration in next 2 years
- Work with potential customers and sales to expand TAM for new product and technology initiatives. In doing so, identify strategic opportunities in working closely with OEMs and cloud customers such as HPE/Dell/Lenovo/Alibaba etc
- Present business case justification to key internal stakeholders and decision makers. Own preparing content for securing Gate 1 approval at DCBD level.
- Provide training to sales teams for emerging technologies.
- Perform top-down and bottom-up market analyses on existing and new markets
- Develop business plans to forecast and drive increases of design-wins and net revenue worldwide
- Drive NDA and other SoW contracts in working with Renesas legal.
- Participate in industry standard forum (JEDEC, PCI-SIG etc) on a regular basis to drive business interests after gaining internal alignment
- Create end user pull for regular MID DIMM products [ALL DIMM product marketing and product management activities will continue be with Allen with direct DIMM customers]
Qualifications
- Solid business development experience of enterprise silicon products, with a good understanding of Signal Integrity products and memory products
- Understanding of distribution sales and how to motivate and incentivize demand creation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with customers, sales force, peers and management
- Understand semiconductor product lifecycle
- Strong analytical and business skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Up to 30% travel required
Education and Experience:
- Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computational Engineering
- 15+ years’ experience in product marketing or planning of semiconductors products in the domain of enterprise memory applications
