Overview:

The position is a key member in the Finance department and supports the Company's financial forecasts, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, and special projects. The individual provides strategic support to management including preparing financial presentations, financial and sales forecasting models, and other projects requested by management. This function is essential to the team that acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support optimal business decision making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process.
  • Trending, forecasting, data analysis, and data modeling experience which incorporates critical thinking skills required.
  • Prepare financial models and analyses to support management team on strategic initiatives, including but not limited to creation of an operating model and a pricing structure model.
  • Assist in monthly financial reporting including variance reporting by analyzing trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures, identifying causes for unexpected variances.
  • Create data visualization content, reports, and dashboards utilizing Power BI.
  • Train end users on navigating and utilizing an EPM tool to pull reports and input forecast data.
  • Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis with other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Must have a desire to learn about the company and the Vehicle Service Contract industry along with the ability to learn various business functions, operations, objectives, and strategies.
  • Must be detail-oriented, work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, have the flexibility to deal with multiple changing priorities and be able to also meet deadlines within determined timeframes.
  • Experience delivering reports and information through a variety of formats and channels.
  • Ability to develop robust and nimble dynamic models.
  • Ability to use statistical modeling and other quantitative and research analytics.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI required with SQL preferred.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on new concepts and opportunities.
  • Understanding of financial and business software applications (Microsoft D365 and Planful preferred) or must possess aptitude to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with leaders and subject matter experts across various business units and functional areas.
  • Must be self-motivated and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to share complex, financial topics clearly, concisely, effectively, and professionally.
  • Must possess a process improvement mindset with willingness to challenge current processes.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business or Finance is required with a Master's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or other related fields with general ledger experience is required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods of the day. The employee must be able to sit for long periods of time.
