The Boeing Company is hiring for 3 different roles to support the Experimental Systems Finance team in Seal Beach, California or one of the listed locations:

  • Senior Financial Analyst
  • Senior Material Cost Business Leader
  • Lead Financial Analyst

Position Responsibilities:

  • Initiates assignments and independently leads integration and analysis of resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, functions or pools; financial EACs for contracts or programs
  • Leads or consults on the development of performance reports
  • Initiates assignments and independently leads integration of variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management
  • Makes recommendations to senior management on financial performance and projections using extensive financial knowledge and experience
  • Leads or consults on the development of cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses
  • Leads, analyzes and presents cases using appropriate indices to improve profitability and shareholder value
  • Consults on requirements definition and deployment of common systems, tools, processes and training to improve resource and/or business planning processes

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). A final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with adjudicated Full Scope and/or Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph Post-Start is required.

This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 10 years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
  • More than 10 years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • More than 5 years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • More than 5 years of experience preparing and presenting to executives, senior leadership, and external customers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
  • More than 5 years of experience leading teams in financial processes such as Estimates at Complete (EACs), Long Range Business Plans (LRBP), Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or Performance Management Baseline (PMB) for large-scale projects
  • More than 5 years of experience with budget baseline development
  • More than 5 years of experience using Deltek Cobra
  • More than 5 years of experience in Material Cost Management
  • More than 5 years of experience approving proposals and expenditures (above the baseline)
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff up to Executive leadership
  • Ability to lead projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completion
  • Highly motivated self-starter and self-directed learner with a creative mind, and high attention to detail

Typical Education & Experience:

Senior (Level 5)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)
