Senior Indirect Supply Leader

This role is the primary point of contact responsible for the holistic management of assigned suppliers for the Americas East Regional Supply Chain organization.

The Senior Indirect Supply Leader will drive supplier performance (specific to inventory, quality, and delivery targets), build collaborative supplier relationships, and support factory needs. This role affords the candidate an opportunity to take hold of the assigned scope and make a positive impact on the growing business.

• Leads the development of strategic sourcing plans simultaneously for multiple commodity groups

• Responsible for the negotiation and acquisition of material and services including price, quality, specifications, and delivery in connection with the placement of purchase orders to meet project requirement; ensure that supplier delivery schedules and quality are maintained at a level necessary to support timelines.
• Responsible for the surveillance and monitoring of assigned suppliers
• Evaluation of supplier performance including the identification and mitigation of risks
• Drives root cause investigations and corrective actions to achieve continuous supplier improvement
• Provides effective purchase order management to ensure current and verified delivery information is reflected using standard systems and processes
• Develop metrics and key performance indicators related to supplier performance and relationship
• Builds an effective cadence with assigned suppliers to support needed expedites and reschedules
• Drives problem-solving activities to resolve supplier performance issues
• Leads supplier recovery and improvement activities
• Supports function and team-wide projects/initiatives
• Operate with urgency and be proactive when it comes to operational issues and ensure continuity of supply from assigned suppliers
• Develop and maintain professional and productive relationships with both internal customers and stakeholders of all Operating Groups and external suppliers.
• Collaborate and effectively influence multiple functions, geographic regions, and cultures; to achieve global end-to-end supply chain performance requirements. This requires working with teams located in different time zones and being flexible with working hours, as required.
• Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and execute tactical and long-term strategic sourcing plans for multiple parts and a variety of products within an assigned commodity grouping.
• Collaborates with the Contracts/Legal function to define, flow down and negotiate supplier contractual requirements. Senior escalation points for suppliers that are not performing in accordance with contractual terms and conditions. Assesses and collaborates with other business partners to determine and manage appropriate actions required to address contractual related supplier performance issues.
• Prepare and present to management clear, concise, relevant data related to supplier initiatives
• Evaluates global market environment

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (vocational, professional, or advanced) In the field of supply management, engineering, business
• Greater than 5 years of progressive experience (usually post-education) in the field Supply Chain or Operations.
• Proven general capabilities in procurement practices and supplier and/or customer development
• Proven specific capabilities in understanding and communicating the technical aspects of the goods and services procured
• Established Procurement skillset to include sourcing indirect categories, negotiation strategy development and execute, contract development, negotiation and management across Operating Groups and sites both regionally and globally, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier diversity and management.
• Proper email etiquette supporting communication across various company functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Purchasing, Production and Inventory Control, Supply Chain Management.
• Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering
