Our Optum Care Technology team is focused on optimizing, scaling, and securing multi-region public cloud infrastructure supporting our clinical performance products and services. Our focus is on innovation, modernization and overall product reliability that enhances provider satisfaction and delivers better outcomes for our patients. We leverage tools such that support security (Azure Front Door), IaC (e.g., Terraform), GitOps (e.g., Argo CD, GitHub Actions), and secrets management (e.g Azure Vault) to securely automate the deployment and maintenance of our Optum Care portfolio of products supporting risk and quality, referral management, patient engagement.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Actively contribute to delivery in a cross-functional team of software engineers, quality engineers, and systems analysts in DevOps delivery of a software platform
• Collaborate with Business and Product Engineering teams to design robust and reusable solutions, as well as facilitate the translation to technical designs
• Collaborate and influence proactive system monitoring practices and strategies to help identify issues prior to customer impact
• Troubleshoot and support the full-cycle incident response (mitigation, correction, prevention) to achieve timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements
• Promote a mindset and culture within the team that embraces identifying, owning, and solving issues, driving quality, improving performance, and improving the customer experience
• Adhere to development standards, security policies and procedures to safeguard data
• Estimate delivery effort, as well as effectively identify and prioritize high-value deliverables
• Assist in story definition, evaluation, translation, and business requirements gathering from product owners and business stakeholders
• Communicate effectively to drive efficient team delivery
• Collaborate in continuous planning to ensure a successful delivery plan is available for business priorities

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience with Java
• 3+ years of experience with Git Source code
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, Maven, GitHub
• 3+ years of experience with containers and container-related technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Azure
• Experience with RESTful services
• Working experience in a DevOps
• Unit testing, integration testing, and UI testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Spock, Jasmine, Jest, etc.) as part of software testing automation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience and knowledge of Azure Cloud platform
• Experience with Kafka
• Database experience (MySQL, NoSQL, etc.)
• Knowledge of Angular

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
