Responsibilities:
- Optimize system stability and performance on critical Linux trading systems
- Monitor, maintain, and support various underlying infrastructure components
- Write and maintain scripts to deploy new infrastructure and leverage new opportunities
- Research and implement new systems to improve our visibility into our deployed software and infrastructure
- Maintain and monitor server environments, virtual machines, storage, and other associated hardware components
- Ensure that software and infrastructure components are up-to-date and free of any security vulnerabilities
- Share knowledge with other employees and create necessary documentation
- Work on automated provisioning of new servers and updating of existing ones
- Troubleshoot and provide support with managed systems and tools
- Collaborate directly with our experienced traders and technologists on brainstorming and implementing creative solutions to a wide range of problems
- Work as part of an in-office team
Job Details

Requirements:
- BA/BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related experience
- 2+ years of experience in a related field
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
- Experience configuring and maintaining monitoring tools and solutions such as Icinga2 and Nagios
- Understanding of the Linux operating system at the administration level, including Debian and CentOS
- Extensive Linux troubleshooting experience, including tcpdump, mdump, netstat, and logs
- Practical experience with container-based technology such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with infrastructure management tools like Ansible and Puppet
- Proficiency in code collaboration tools such as git, GitLab, GitHub, and Bitbucket
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins
- Understanding of automated provisioning tools such as PXE and Foreman
- Flexibility to work outside of core business hours and on weekends occasionally
- Ability to travel occasionally to provide support to other regions as needed
- This is an onsite position that requires physical presence (no remote work).
