We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Planning & Operations Manager to join our MPEx Project Engineering team, here in Poway, CA. This role supports a broad range of Project and Systems Engineering activities to include program planning and technical execution across a wide range of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) missions, payloads and technologies.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support planning and execution of various Mission Platform Systems (MPS) programs involving Multi-INT systems, Communications, Tactical Datalinks, and Cybersecurity technologies having Software, Hardware and Open Standard development areas
- Facilitates planning and interchange with diverse cross-functional teams to successfully execute programs within budget and schedule objectives
- Supports builds, integration and test activity for a wide range of platforms, sensors and payloads
- Identifies gaps in complicated technical projects and creates solutions to maintain schedule and technical requirements
- Generates engineering work and cost estimations for programs and proposals through all stages of stakeholder approval
- Supports procurement activities, including tracking procurement status, subcontracts and related planning
- Participate in proposal planning, development and execution activities
- Contributes to system architecture development tied to mission and performance requirements
- Develops and presents technical material for diverse group of internal and Customer stakeholders
Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelors or Masters in business administration, finance, or a related field, along with thirteen or more years of progressive project administration experience with at least seven of the years managing those operations in an engineering or scientific environment. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Must demonstrate detailed expertise of project planning and scheduling, as well as monitoring and reporting on these activities.
- Experience in organizational and operational problem resolution is required.
- Strong leadership, communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills are also required as well as the ability to interpret and explain complex operational issues.
- Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment.
- Must also be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance
