About the Role

Creatd is seeking a highly detail-oriented, ambitious, and hardworking Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this role will be responsible for the entry, processing, and reconciliation of all AP/AR within Creatd and its subsidiaries. Our ideal candidate should be incredibly thorough, be a self-starter, have strong organizational and analytical skills, and have an interest and background in accounting and budget tracking.

What you’ll do

• Send client invoices and reconcile incoming payments.

• Receive vendor invoices and initiate payments.

• Form client relationships to improve efficiency of client payments.

• Create a process for following up with clients for late payments.

• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.

• Issue annual 1099 reconciliation, audit, and transmittal.

• Issue stop-payments or purchase order amendments.

• Receive, verify, and process employee and consultant expense reports and requests for advances.

• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.

• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

• Maintain historical records properly filing documents.

• Protect the organization’s values by keeping information confidential.

• Accomplish accounting and organizational missions by completing related results as needed.

What you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.

• 2-5 years previous staff accounting experience required.

• General math, data entry, and data analysis skills.

• Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel required.

• Proficiency in Quickbooks Enterprise required.

• Previous experience working at a public company preferred.

• A dedication to thoroughness and attention to detail.

• Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
